Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

The short version. We collect your email, username and password (stored encrypted) so you can save your game, plus anonymous information about how the game is used. We don't sell personal information and we don't share it with advertisers. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

This policy explains how Dwello ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use dwello.com.au, the Dwello game and the related Restova demonstration site at restova.com.au. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Anonymous usage informationWhile you use the site and gameTo understand how the game is played and improve it, and to measure how many people see and tap the ads. This includes a random identifier stored in your browser, the pages you visit, game actions (such as starting a game, buying a property or finishing a quarter), ad views and taps, your screen width and the website that referred you. It doesn't include your name or email.
Information stored on your deviceWhile you use the siteYour browser keeps your game, settings, login session and the random identifier in local storage so the game works. You can clear this in your browser settings.

How we use it

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information. We use these service providers to run Dwello, and they handle information on our behalf:

These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Advertising

Dwello shows a small number of clearly labelled sponsored messages. Advertisers don't receive your personal information. If you tap an ad, you leave Dwello: a phone call, text message or website visit is then between you and the advertiser, under their own privacy practices. Restova is a fictional brand within the game and takes no bookings or personal details.

Keeping it safe and how long we keep it

Information is sent over encrypted connections and protected by access controls in our database, so players can only read their own saved game. We keep account information until you delete your account, and anonymous usage information for up to 24 months.

Your choices and rights

Children

Dwello is designed for people aged 16 and over. If you're under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, email hello@dwello.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy as Dwello changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
